Tim got home early today as a surprise for our last FFFN before school starts! Not that we won't be having our FFFN during the school year, but tonight was very special. We are so excited about our school year and everything the kids are going to experience for the first time so we just wanted to make it extra special! He brought home all the fixing to make homemade pizza, salad, popcorn and movies! Excitement! We had a great time throwing some pizzas together while Becca made an amazing salad for us! We at the Jeffries house love us some salad! Tim rented a cute movie for us to watch with the four youngest that we've been looking forward to watching for awhile now!
Gnomeo and Juliet!!!!!
After the little kids movie was over we tucked them in bed and got our pjs on, grabbed blankets, and snuggled in to watch yet another movie with the middles up! We had been looking forward to watching this movie for so long! With the price in theatres and honestly the previews in theatres being what they are we save movies for home and usually rent them from Redbox for only $1. So for our second movie of the night.....
SOUL SURFER!!!!!
We really enjoyed Soul Surfer. We've heard so much negative about it, from the attire (um...surfing movie set in Hawaii not sure what y'all expected), to the rebellious attitude of Bethany ....but wow....it was really a great movie. The message, the faith, the desperation of parents going through the unimaginable, how a family looked like they were going to fall apart due to the stress and yet they came together and overcame, Bethany's courage and strength...it was just amazing! One of our teens said it reminded them of our own family and what we went through after Gabe's accident. It was one of the hardest things we've ever gone through, yet today God has brought us to a new place, a higher faith, a stronger relationship with Him and each other. I like the message this movie sent out and we will definitely watch it again!
After Soul Surfer everyone went to bed except for Morgan and myself. We stayed up and had a wee date night. Tim rented us a movie that we've been wanting to watch yet just haven't had the time to do so. So we finally got to watch....
PRADA TO NADA!!!!
It was cute! It reminded me a little of Sense and Sensibility in a few ways....and Sense and Sensibility is one of my top ten favorite movies of all times! I'm not sure we will watch it again, but it was really fun! The best part was hanging out with Morgan!
