Mendell Moments!

Mendell’s hair has grown long enough to french braid!  I never realized how time consuming putting two little braids in could be.  I guess it’s working with the smaller amounts of baby fine hair.  She was so excited to have princess braids put in with her silky curls hanging down!  LOL!

Thanksgiving Craft

If you know me you know that I am not a crafty person.  So when I feel the need to be crafty or the kids bug me enough to do something I hit the internet.  One of my favorite places to find fun crafts for differing ages is Family Fun!  They have some of the cutest ideas and most of them are cost friendly!
Today I decided to put the craft and snack together.  You know…two birds…two stones?  Anywho, I found this yummy crafty thing and it turned out great!

However, I did not think things through.  The kids changed a little after eating the crafty turkey cookies!!!! :0
Johnston had a bite and died from happiness!  I don’t think he realizes when one dies the tongue would hang out of the mouth to the tilt of the head!!! LOL!
They started acting a little crazy!
SUGAR!!!!!
We only had one turkey cookie each.  I could not imagine if they had had two turkeys!  It was a lot of fun and we have enough to make another turkey each tomorrow!  Yum!

Wordless Wednesday!

Roving Bovine!

Today while we were doing school one of the kids looked out our front window and spotted a visitor in our yard.  One of the fun things about homeschooling is our ability to jump up and run outside if something peaks our interest as Mr. Cow did.  Off ran the older kids with Skylar wielding the camera.  We don’t know where he came from, but the kids had a blast chasing following him around.
It was a nice break for them.  They came back refreshed from the jaunt in the chilly morning air ready to get on with school.  It’s nice having something out of the ordinary to stir up a day.
The kids told me they thought it was so awesome that they could be home schooled and see things like Mr. Cow.  Having the freedom to run and see him.  They thanked me.  I think I will continue! ;)
